For Marylanders, here is a list of local resources that are helpful for families need services for their family member with autism. There are most likely similiar services in most other states. In my research, one of the states with an abudnance of resources and services is Colorado. However. I have never lived there. Another important organization in Maryland for financial assistance is LISS funding through Humanin. There allocate up to $3,000 per individual with autism for recreational, respite, eduational, or support services. Here is the link for Humanin:
